The proof shows both sides of the guidon, this guarantees that the guidon will look exactly as\u00a0required\u00a0which is letters and numbers read correct on both sides and the insignia is single reverse.<br \/>\nThe size of a guidon is determined by <a title=\"Institute of heraldry\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tioh.hqda.pentagon.mil\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Institute of Heraldry<\/a>, Departartment of the Army, Base drawing for US Army and US Air force Guidons \u00a05-1-4 \u00a0Revised 12 November 2002. \u00a0Description states: \u00a0A guidon is a swallow-tailed unit marker, 20-inch hoist by a 27 3\/4-inch fly, the swallow-tail end forked 10 inches. \u00a0Fringe is not used on guidons. \u00a0Following\u00a0the above\u00a0guidelines\u00a0insures that a Flag-Works guidon is made to Military specification and to the customers needs. \u00a0Please note that the Army regulations 840-10 and wikipedia states a guidon\u00a0dimension\u00a0is 20&#8243; x 27&#8243;. \u00a0They are both in error. \u00a0The above information is straight from the Institute of Heraldry, today. \u00a0A new revision will be coming out to correct the Army Regs. \u00a0The schematic drawings that we use to make the guidons were never changed to 27&#8243; and never will be. \u00a0Be careful you can&#8217;t always believe what you read.
